Magazine adverts analysis- Muse.

Information.



This shows a magazine ad for an upcoming album which Muse was advertising at the time.

On the advertisement it states who is featured in the album so that it may be appealing to a rang of different people. This draws the audience in as even if they didn't know how Muse sounds or what their genre of music is, they may know the featured artists and that would intrigue them.

Imagery.

The fact that Muse is not actually picture on the magazine ad, only a silhouette of the band, makes the audience want to know more about the artists and what they are aiming to produce. What the shadows are shown doing and the instruments they are playing gives the audience an insight into the type of music which they may produce.

Purpose.

The purpose of this magazine advertisement is to show that the band have a new album on the way, it does not state much information about it at all but due to the name being so prominent on the ad the audience will remember that they have something on the way.

Colour.

The black and white colour scheme is striking and would gain attention from the audience which is needed as this advertisement would most likely be surrounded by others.
