Filming on Monday the 19th of October- Last proper filming session!
We made this day the last proper filming session that we would do for our music video excluding the scenes that we may have to refilm after we have started to edit. We started fiming at around 3pm and finished at around 7pm. Our first location was Hengrove where we used two different underpasses which were situated under a roundabout. Sam and Lauren had been to this location to film before so we had an idea of what we wanted the scene to look like. However, the graffiti that we were going to use has since been washed over with white paint so we couldn't get the initial look that we had planned. We still decided to use this location and will put the footage we got into our final video. Our next location was the North Street as we knew there was a lot of graffiti here due to me and Sam scouting it out on a previous trip to this location. Since we had not yet found any graffiti that we thought would look good in the video, we added this location in because we still wanted to incorporate that sort of style. Here we mangaed to find a whole wall length full of different kinds of graffiti art and decided to use the whole thing as we filmed me and Lauren walking past it and also stood chatting next to it. The graffiti that was on this wall showed a wide variety of images so we did not need to film this scene anywhere else. Next we moved to the docks as the sun was starting to set and we wanted to get that look in our music video. We just managed to film the sun going down and used the last bit of good lighting in this location. We also added another scene where me and Lauren were sat on a bench down one of the streets next to the docks as we felt the scenery was really nice and fitting. We had to wait until it got dark to go to our next location as we knew we wanted this final scene to be filmed at night. We went to the car park behind Colston Hall and moved up to the top floor where there was a really nice view of the city. Here we filmed me and Lauren looking over the city which will be the closing scene of our music video. We managed to get all of this done in that one evening which now gives us a lot of time to edit the music video. The main thing that took up time was the travel aspect. We had to get the bus to all of these locations and to get to Hengrove and back took a fairly long time. With waiting for the bus as well, we spent a lot of time on travel. Even though this was all worth it, it meant that it did take us longer to film. As it was getting later we had to make sure that there was still enough lighting to get the shots that we wanted, which there was but also it was very cold and we were all quiet exhausted near the end so had to account for a break time. We feel as a group that we are in a good position now to begin editing the footage that we now have.
